neil5208
Evening all, latest one finished is Airfix's Harrier GR1 kit built as an American MD AV8A of the US Marine Corp circa 1981. Built pretty much OOB less the resin seat which is the wrong one (GR3 MB not the Stencil 3) as I lost the kit one, the LAU10's from a Hasegawa weapon set and the Cta early Harrier user decal sheet. The UHF antenna on the spine was made from 0.3mm plastic card. As usual Tamiya acrylics and some basic panel line oil washes. It was going to be the Royal Thai Navy version but the resin GR3 tail that I have resembles a banana so I will have to get another GR3 kit for that one. Cta decals are nice to use, settled well and no problems coming of the backing. As usual all comment are welcome. And on the shelf with it British cousins. You can see the colour difference between the US grey and the darker British grey.
f111guru
Nice looking kit and great finish. I can say without shame that I've never seen a subdued scheme come through Cannon Air Force Base the entire time I was out there (13yrs). Did have a few bright one come through though. On the shelf with all the other to be most proud to join. Again great looking kit. Ron VanDerwarker
