OK, Jug fans, this one's for you! It never ceases to amaze me that all the structures, ducting, and pipe runs associated with the turbosupercharger installation were not  more susceptible to combat damage than they were....Ol' Kartveli built 'em tough!

It is clear from some of those photos why the P-47 was so strong. They simply used sections of the factory roof trusses and put skins on them!:pilot:

 

Great photos, and some really tempting diorama possibilities there.

I get the distinct feeling that a WW2 USAAF vet would have a second definition to go with that title. But, it is a great supply of P-47s. Thanks again, Mike.
