Hunter F.6 Airfix 1:48 / No 12 Sqn

That's incredible! It looks real. Possibly the most realistic painting and finish I've seen.

As always a beautifully finished model. Always thought the Hunter looked great in the wraparound grey and green camouflage.

Just one point, that particular mark of Hunter, the F.6, was restricted to carrying the smaller 100 gallon tanks. The 230 gallon tanks were carried by the later FGA.9. Although some F.6s converted to the F.6A could carry the bigger tanks.

Andrew

Very nice although I am confused as to why the undercarriage exchange. I was of the Impression that the Academy main wheels were undersize, indeed the Aeroclub replacements that I used in my Academy were bigger.

Without a doubt, one of the most convincing Hunters I've ever seen.

Fabulous modelling!

Kind regards,

That is seriously impressive.  Such a realistic finish, the shading and weathered look of the paintwork is stunning.  Very nice buddy.

I agree with lord riot, that is one very realistic paint finish. Love it!

Well....that's me upset now!!   I've just ordered this very set of decals to do this aircraft, and mine's never going to look that good!!
