1/48 airfield

When posting some of my completed a/c kits in the RFI area, I was asked about my "diorama". I did not really consider it one, it was an idea to display/photograph the ready models and turned (over time) into a way to make all those little things you find on a an airfield.

 

The whole thing was completed once or twice, but with new ideas to add and a couple of moves, it is now a work in progress again ....

 

And, as I said, as I don't consider it a diorama, so I decided to post it this area

as mentioned, the whole thing changed its location a few times - which makes it look kind of funny now, as the original shape of the ground plate and the way that most buildings were designed (due to space issues, I decided to have all buildings on the edge and only parts of it too so there is more room for the a/c) was tailored to the 1st set up.

The buildings are all meant as backdrops, just to hint what it would look like in real life (No space, and I did not want to build several hangars in 1/48 )

 

Some of the stuff got adapted later when I knew better, or wanted to add something ...
