JohnHaa
De Dear modellers, Yesterday I found the Shuttleworth Airshow 2019 on You Tube. To my pleasent surprice, I saw a restored Airco DH-9. I did not know about the restauration. Now I know....😁 Well years ago I build one from scratch, it is not perfect but I still like it. Please have a look at this oldie: I hope you enjoy the pictures ! Greetings, JohnHaa
cngaero
If that's not perfect then I don't know what is! Your DH.9 is absolutely stunning, especially given that it is built from scratch. Thank you for sharing it with us.
stevehnz
That is really lovely John, I've long thought this is one we need in my preferred 1/72 scale no doubt a lot of 1/48 modelers would like a kit too, especially after seeing your beautiful work. Spitfire31
She looks close enough to perfection from over here. 😉 Is that an aileron actuator that got unstuck under the port lower wing? Fine work! Kind regards, Joachim
JohnHaa
Thanks for all the comments ! And Joachim, you are right, I had not seen it, till you wrote about it, thanks, just some whiteglue and it is fixed. Thank you ...😉 With regards JohnHaa

Brandy
Absolutely stunning, they don't get much better than that! I have the Blue Rider conversion in 1:72 to build sometime, hopefully not too far off..... Ian
woody37
Wow, scratch built? Beautiful and quite timely after reading the Fly Past article this month
pheonix
Another of your scratch build gems. I converted one of these in 1/72 scale based on an article In Airfix Magazine in the mid 1960's - my first biplane conversion in fact. To build one from scratch in 1/48 scale takes a great deal more skill - and yours looks much better than mine too! P
