JOCKNEY
Hi @Pierpaolo Great choice both in terms of aircraft and Build title, this will strike a cord with many BM members here of a certain age, and you can always blame the dog ! Good luck with the build. Cheers Pat 1
Rabbit Leader
Great to have you onboard @Pierpaolo. Not having built an F-14 I can't really guide you on your kit choice, however as they say you could always build both? Cheers and warm welcome.. Pierpaolo
Thanks for the welcome I don't think I can build 2 models in the time that remains, I hope to finish at least one! (first i have to finish a Desert Storm A-10) My subject for this GB will be NK-100 , the VF-1 CAG bird , s/n 158979 Both kit have decals for this subject but i will mount the Hasegawa one As aftermarket i will use only two resin ejection seats

Colin W
Was this the cruise where they pushed one over the side causing a mad rush to find it before the Russians? I remember the incident but not sure of the year. Colin
Pierpaolo
Hi Colin That incident occurred in the North Sea in 1976. It was a VF-32 plane (BuNo 159588) aboard the JFK

Pierpaolo
Good evening to all After finishing an A-10 I finally started the Tomcat.. The cockpit is from Verlinden, it fits very well in the fuselage halves
Rabbit Leader
Verlinden, now there’s a name you don’t hear that often these days. Good seeing this one progressing quite smartly. Cheers.. Dave

Rabbit Leader
Now that looks fantastic, had to recheck what scale this build was... 1/72nd, most impressive. Cheers.. Dave
Pierpaolo
Hi! Thank You for your kind words A little step forward on my tomcat I closed the front part of the fuselage with the cockpit (the one behind is an old tomcat built in 2002 as Fast Eagle 107 being restored ) I don't think I want to leave the cannon compartment open, it's just a test Then I joined the nose with the rest of the fuselage

Rabbit Leader
Colours look spot on and I'm a big fan of Tamiya's X-2, seems to do a white job nicely. Great progress. Cheers.. Dave

Rabbit Leader
Absolutely stunning @Pierpaolo what a cracking finish. The subtle weathering and overall sheen is just spot on. That's the perfect aviation subject for 1975, something to be really proud of. Cheers, well modelled and thanks for taking part.. Dave
