dnl42
@Paul J showed his fine PZL P.11c and I got to thinking about a BM gallery of Polish subjects from the September Campaign, Kampania wrześniowa. So please, post pictures of your Polish subjects from the start of WWII! Wikipedia had this to say about the Polish Air Force: Quote The Polish Air Force, despite being significantly outnumbered and with its fighters outmatched by more advanced German fighters, remained active until the second week of the campaign, inflicting significant damage on the Luftwaffe.[127] The Luftwaffe lost 285 aircraft to all operational causes, with 279 more damaged, and the Poles lost 333 aircraft.[128] To use an expression from James Holland's Normandy '44, the Polish Air Force punched above their weight. Here is my Mirage 1/48 PZL P.11c from around 2012. This was an early model on my return to the hobby. I was still learning to use an airbrush, and the paint surface finish shows! I used Part PE sets on both models. And a Mirage 1/48 Lublin R-XIII built around the same time, perhaps just before the P.11c. I started scratch building detail in this model, such as the single-bladed wing-mounted generator? and the flying wires (6 mil carbon fibre). Silvering is pronounced in some areas. 14

JWM
I have to apologize - I did my not very big set of 1939 September Polish machines mostly in begining of 1990s, in times when I belived in green shade of Polish khaki. I was planning to repaint them for 80 anniversary but did not managed. Maybe I will join this thread leater a bit... At least I hope in next Spetember, for 81 anniversary. BTW, the number 81 is much more round number as squared nine then 80, is it? So it is 100 in nine number system and 1000 in ternary numerical system ) Cheers J-W
