Whitewolf
Very nice pics! I think the 617 F35Bs being embarked are the airframes in the USA due to be ferried back on QE.
Terry1954
Great pictures. I wanted to get across to Portsmouth to watch her leave but couldn't make it. That French frigate looks interesting. It's an old Georges Leygues class, been in service over 30 years! Thanks for sharing Terry
Graham T
Great pics, thanks for sharing them. She is "mahoosive". I believe PoW isn't far off a visit to Portsmouth - be great to see them alongside together. Even more so to see them "steaming" in line astern just like some of the old shots from WW2 & into the 50s.

Question is, does the RN have enough people left to man both carriers at the same time?

Whitewolf
How many Phalanx have been fitted to date? Can only see Two? She's fitted for Four. No surprise if we can't afford to fit them all......
Whitewolf
It seems only two fitted, with a 3rd due - strange that hasn't been installed already - doesn't paint a good picture! Hoping they'll be able to ferry back as many F35Bs as we have available at this time, much easier and a lot safer than flying them across the Atlantic
