bzn20
You must watch The Big Lift on Retro ch 307 freesat . Filmed in 1949 the Berlin Airlift . Acres of C-54s and fantastic shots of landings at Berlin and not just for a quick shot . The film is below par on substance but those shots of aircraft on the Airlift not bettered on any other film apart from newsreels of the day . I've watched it 3 times , on right now so it will be on again this week I reckon . google freesat schedule and go down to freesat ch 307 . Or watch it on youtube . Who knows how they hid all the RAF Hastings and Yorks , never saw one .Just C-54 city Az https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=the+big+lift+film+1950&source=lnms&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwj8gZm6rqHkAhUDXRoKHZNBB7UQ_AUIDCgA&biw=1366&bih=632&dpr=1#spf=1566850921749

junglierating
I believe the Mike I know was a crew chief who travelled with the a/c ...I guess it depended on where the cab was going and whether or not a maintenance crew were going ?
