whitestar12chris Posted August 26, 2019 Share Posted August 26, 2019 Heres Dragons 1/350 Improved Los Angeles 688i with launching Tomahawks The kit went together reasonably well with just a little filler required, hand painted with humbrol enamels and satin/matt cote. Always a challenge to photo blacks with different sheens. All twelve VLS (Vertical Launch System) doors open, i decided to show the tomahawks in different launch phases, starting with; 1) compressed air ejection from silo to surface 2) rocket motor air launch 3)cruise missile engine takeover with wings deployed. Surprisingly the kit had a textured walkway surface on the top which greatly aided depiction of this. Anyway heres my pics.
