Vaastav
I recently got a Zvezda 1/35 Soviet 4.5 truck. It is my first truck build, so please help
Bullbasket
You'll have to be a bit more specific. Exactly what do you want help with? John.
Vaastav
I have rather basic materials and I need to use some improvised techniques for weathering the model.
Vaastav
Any methods outlined should be basic as I have none of the weathering materials. Currently I have done the chassis & cabin
Redcoat2966
Best I can advise, is post some pics on progress.........I'm building a Miniart bus with full chassis, so I imagine with a Zvezda you're having some similar issues as myself......
Vaastav
The Chassis is complicated, and both rear prop shafts are short.
Vaastav
How do I insert photos from my laptop??
Bullbasket
You cannot post photos direct from your laptop. You need to use a hosting site such as Flikr, Google Photos or Village Photos. In FAQ's there is an "idiots"" guide to posting photos on here using Village Photos. HTH's. John.

My main comment that I don’t like the moulding lines on the truck wheels and the soldiers - I recommend to remove it from the start; these things become so prominent when the paint is on. The second thing is a skin tone - it’s too gray. What the paint you’re used for this build?
Vaastav
The paint is Camlin Artists Acrylic, good modelling paints are hard to come by over here. What do you suggest I do about the skin tone, since I used a mix of Titanium bleach and milk white. I will clean up the model as you suggest

You can add some amount of yellow or even the red, I think. 5 hours ago, Vaastav said: I will clean up the model as you suggest It will be worth it in the end!

Vaastav
I was wondering what should I use as solvent for the mud/rust/dust pigments. I have turpentine oil and possibly rubbing alcohol.
