woody37
One of my favourite Blenheim schemes and you’re doing a lovely job of it

The remainder of the airframe, G-BPIV, is the “Mk. 1” as presently flying.
Shelliecool
I have airbrushed the wheel hubs and tyres, and once dry I secured them to the landing gear struts. Then I began attaching them to the aircraft. It was a little fiddly, but assembling them before I painted them made it a whole lot easier and they were soon in place. Finally she is sitting on all 3 wheels!
Shelliecool
With the wheels in place, I have begun work on the props. Firstly painting the yellow tips, then masking the yellow and airbrushing the black top coat. This went on well, as I expected from the Vallejo acrylic. Once dry I can begin assembly.
Shelliecool
With the paint dry on the props, I carefully attached them to the engines and secured the spinner on top. Then I began work on the bomb bay doors. This was a fiddly job, but Airfix have made sure there is a lip for you to secure the edges to. With patients, they were soon in place. All that is left to do is give her a coat of satin varnish, and add the aerial cables. Nearly done.
Shelliecool
Since my last post I have given the build a coat of Vallejo satin varnish, and once dry attached the extra fine fishing line I use for the aerial wire. With all that done the build was complete. It has been a great kit to put together, nice and clean sprues that fit smoothly. I will post some more photos in the ready for inspection forum, thanks for joining me on the build.

stevehnz
Hi Shellie, apologies for not keeping up with this, I got rather a shock when I clicked on it & was taken back to October. I've just had a catch up & like what I've seen, the finished item is a stunna, your weathering shows a very deft touch. Steve.
The Spadgent
beautiful build. Reinforcing the decision to build my one. I love the scheme and your finish is very nice indeed. I hope mine turns out as good. Johnny
