Airfix 1:72 Starter Hurricane

I may not have most of my tools and paints available at the moment, bit I didn't want to miss the fun so here I go with this!  I'll only be using the included paints, as well as some Tamiya extra-thin glue, some putty, a sanding stick, a dark-brown weathering wash and possibly some Tamiya weathering pastels if I remembered to pack them.

First go with the paints.  Not too bad!

It all comes together quickly when you can't really super detail the interior.

Some gaps were just too big to ignore.  2 hours in and taking a break for some putty to dry.

Should be able to knock this one off fairly quickly I hope.

Maybe a little on the dark side? I'm impressed you got those little pots to work well. I ended up giving all mine away, just couldn't make them work, especially with the airbrush.

The pots ended up alright in the end :)

Here it is fully painted and almost assembled.

I added some black weathering powder stains for the exhaust and guns, then some light grey to bring out the texture.

And then all it needed was decals and it was done!

6 hours and 40 minutes with a dinner break in the middle.  Not bad :D

Better photos will be in the gallery shortly.

Beggsy out.
