franky boy
Try Gunze self levelling thinner. It’s made for these paints. HTH James
Evil_Toast_RSA
I'm guessing you have no access to the Gunze branded thinners? If so, Tamiya Acrylic & Lacquer thinner, Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA/Rubbing alcohol) and plain old lacquer thinners (think you refer to it as cellulose thinners in blighty?) work just fine. bmwh548
Well strictly to split hairs it's made for the C and GX series, but it will work on the H as well. IPA will work pretty good too if you don't have a dedicated thinner on hand.
aerodes
Thanks for help. Tried brush painting in some small parts and Tamiya thinners no good - wouldn't touch the paint tp clean brush - had to clean brush with cellulose thinners. Don't want to spray cellulose unless I have to. Thanks - will look at local supply of Gunze.
bmwh548
I'd stay away from their own thinner for Aqueous. I found that it delays drying times way too much for my taste. Go with Self Leveling if you want to stick to Gunze thinners.
aerodes
Settled for the levelling thinners- well pleased - thanks for advice. Onwards and upwards. Rgds
Basuroy
I use them regularly and I find IPA perfect for them . 70% IPA , not 99% . If you want to use them for fine airbrush work like say mottling or post shading , add some diamond airbrush medium to the mix . One drop of the medium per 30 drop of paint and thinner (IPA). Diamond Airbrush medium is a miracle solution and seems to significantly reduce the probability of nozzle clog .
