Richard502
The paint in this ancient tin is still good. But is it near the real thing? And what camouflage scheme and type of plane can I use it for? TIA, Richard
matti64
As far as I recall, they were pretty good matches, as a a rule...
Graham Boak
Light Grey overall could be seen on most of the types that immediately preceded the main Pacific War favourites: biplane Helldivers, Seagulls, Kingfishers, Buffaloes, Vindicators and early Wildcats. I'm sure that there were others. The colour was also used as the underside in the subsequent scheme with Blue Grey uppers.
Roger Holden
As Graham says, it was used in the 1940-41 timeframe immediately prior to the US entry into WW2. Was being superseded by the blue-grey upper scheme beginning around mid-1941. Have several tins of it myself.....good stuff.
Richard502
Thank you for the replies. So it can be used for the undersides of mid-war SBDs and TBMs, of which I have 2 and 3 respectively? Richard
