Reini78
#20/2019 After the 109 in Romanian colours, my dad built also a Hurricane in foreign service. Hasegawa Romanian Hurricane kit, Eduard seatbelts, in the kit missing early style prop and spinner taken from the new Airfix Hurricane I, missing 5-spoke wheels from ultracast, missing early style antenna mast from the spares box, no ring but at least a crosshair gunsight included in the kit, decals from the kit and RB Productions. Tamiya Flat Earth and Dark Green for the upper camo, camo scheme done with masks from AML. djos
Great finish and interesting decal option. Those Romanian crosses looks very good on Hurricane. All details are great Best regards Djordje

RadMax8
At number 20 for the year, it is obvious that your dad is a very prolific builder, however his quality doesn’t suffer a bit given the quantity of kits he builds! Another exquisite example of his work. There’s been a couple planes he’s posted in different markings than you’d expect, and I think that’s awesome! How did he find the AML masks? I’ve got a couple sets in my stash to go along with my RAF planes, and I’m just curious. Thanks for sharing!

I’ve got a couple sets in my stash to go along with my RAF planes, and I’m just curious. Thanks for sharing! Thanks a lot! In earlier years, he built the "usual suspects", mostly common schemes. But because you see them so often, I started to influence him and move his interest towards more rare and unusual schemes and markings. His next finished model will be a Mexican Dauntless/Banshee 😉 The AML masks worked fine for my dad so far. He used the same Hurricane mask now for the second time, no problem. He also used the same AML mask for the zig-zag camo on Erla built Bf109 three times without problems. (With the same, I mean the same piece. He also uses canopy masks several times, if possible.)

Thanks for the As far as I remember, my dad used Gunze Aqueous, Tamiya acrylics and AK Real Colors in the mentioned cases. Maybe the masks react different with other kind of paints..well, you'll see.
