Bought this kit to try and build one of my most liked WW2 fighter the ME262.

The kit had many detailed parts, which is good. It also comes with the nose wheel and nose cannon/machine platform cast as a single piece of lead for weighing down the nose.

Decals are quite well done.

Good level of detail in the mold.

Notice the separate nose weight made from lead or some metal alloy in the form of the nose inner part on the bottom left. No need to add any lead weghts.

Hobbyboss bubble wrapped some of the parts to protect it.

First build the cockpit tub. Here is the pedal and joystick. The kit has nice details.

Hand painted some of the instrument panel and then cut and pasted individual instrument dials into the panel as the entire decal will not conform properly.

Slow and tedious work to cut and paste each dial individually but then the end result is quite good and satisfying.

Completing the tub with setting the control wires from the instrument dials.

Added a piece of plastic card to to cover the bottom of the cables.

Also cut and pasted the side control panels with individually cut decals for better conformity to the panel instrument knobs and levers.

Completed cockpit tub with the instrument cables for the front leading to the gun chamber.

Painted the plastic card black to cover the bottom of the cable compartment otherwise it is a gap to the bottom.

Quite happy with the cockpit tub. One of my better builds.

Fit the nose canon and painted in the details. Multiple layers of steel, dark steel, aluminium and gunmetal.

This is built on top of the kit supplied lead nose weight.

Top view. This fit into the nose to add weight but not a very good fit metal lead to plastic pieces.

Bottom view. Here is the nosewheel well at the bottom. Not sure if I did something wrong, the lead piece seems too big leaving a gap in the fuselage. Need to clamp it and glue it shut.

Managed to fill it with putty and sand it down.
