Mr T
Really impressive work on a kit that appeared not long after the real thing (who would have thought that the moulds would be in use 55 years on) and reflects what you have got in the plastic bag with paper header.
Rabbit Leader
They really turned out rather nicely haven’t they! Your chrome plating mechanic has done a great job and should be highly recommended to all historic car restoration enthusiasts. Cheers.. TonyW
Hats off to you for taking on this task! Not one of Airfix's finest moments by a long shot, you seem to have got it's measure though. Those wheels really do lift the model onto another level. Tony.
Worms
Dashboard done, seats and interior done apart from gear stick and hand brake On the body front the door cards and front and rear valances have been fitted . Gear stick is 'going to the platers' with the scratched hand brake and wheels.
Jinxman
Is that the same kit!! I reckon you are fettling this one up very nicely - can't wait to see it all fitted together. 1
Worms
So, dash, steering wheel, handbrake and seats have been fitted to the floor pan and left to dry overnight. This morning's job is to fit the floor pan to the body...it doesn't fit with the seats in! The seats have come out, the underside locating steps filed back and re-tried...yep, 1/16" filed off and the pan and seats will just line up with the locating pins and wheel arches etc...what a mess this kit is!

Worms
Panicking a bit now with work commitments....just ordered some micromesh pads for delivery tomorrow as that gloss black is a pig for showing imperfections...I re-sprayed it with Tamiya glos black and am coating it with a Tamiya gloss acrylic clearcoat....better than Humbrol!

Well I quite like it in addition to the whole GB build to be honest. I'm so glad this GB unearthed a vast array of modelling subjects and what better way to represent 1961 that with Jaguar's all time classic. Cheers, well modelled and thanks for taking part..
