Academy Stug 167 (problems)

Brought this as well as the Tamiya version to see how similar they are, under the rumor that Academy copied Tamiya's model.

 

But still good practice for basics. 

 

Parts are for the most part, together, I will begin painting shortly. 

 

I see a gap in the rear hull, will have to Google what was in that gap to see if I can replicate it.

I found this kit review and found this picture.

 

 

As you can see, that gap looks like it's gone. There's no part or instruction to fit anything in that gap and the build review doesn't mention any gap. It's really confusing.

Damn, the photobucket watermark is blocking a clear view, I will have to take another picture when I get home. It's right behind the right side of the camera logo. I'm not really sure what the term of the part is, but I think it's the idler wheel axle housing? Right where the lower side hull meets the lower back hull. I'll take another picture.
