Marlin
Hi. I've now started with the decal. First up the 10 decals that will make it an Iraqi MiG-25 111 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr National flag on the fin. 112 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Follow by numbers and Iraqi Triangles. 113 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Triangles on the wings. 114 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And the first dose of stencil. About 15 of them. 115 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr I had planned to work with the stencil two full days, but life got in the way. So this is what I had time for. More will come during the week. Marlin
Hi, The work with the stencils continue with glacial speed. One aft section has got 13 stencils. 116 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And the pylons and missile rails has got 40 stencils on them. 117 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 118 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr During our daytrip to Åland I found a Fiskars barbers scissors at a fair price. 119 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr It's very sharp and functions very well to cut out these small decals with. Marlin
Hi, I managed to find some time to continue with the stencils this weekend. Most of them are done now. Wings, 120 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 121 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr The sides are really covered in stencils. 122 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Not so many on the topside. 123 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 124 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr But the Kh-58's really take the prize. 21 stencils per missile, adds to 84 stencils. 125 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr After the marathon session I had did my eyes need a rest, so I've only done one missile. So I got three left to do during the week. And when the missiles are done the total tally of decals and stencils on this bird adds up to 284. I really thought it would be some more when I started. Marlin
You're right Werner. They should be black, but I couldn't find enough black one, so I used a couple blue one instead. I totally agree with you on the missiles. They look great when the stencils go on. I'll post a picture of them when I'm finished with them. /Bosse

Marlin
Hi. I havn't had much bench time the last couple of days. But I've done some small work each day, and suddenly a whole lot has been done. I've got the wheels, covers, stabilators and the droptank in place. 127 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And some small antennas as well. 128 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And the Kh-58's are mounted on the missile rails. 129 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And with that it's now just a matter of getting the canopy, pitot tube and the missile pylons in place. I hope to have this one in the display cabinet before the weekend. To be continued..... /Bosse

Marlin
Hi, I didn't manage to finish the MiG-25 this weekend. Overtime at work and family life came in the way. But I did manage to get the pitot tube in place. 131 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 132 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Sine I took these pictures I've sanded off some CA glue and primed it for painting. Marlin
Hi This week I've had about zero time for building my kits. The only thing I've had time for is to paint the pitot tube. 133 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 134 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Which means that the only thing left to to is to get the canopy in place. And that's exactly what I plan to do when I get home from work later today. To Be Continued..... /Bosse
Marlin
Hi, I've now finished my MiG-25. I glued the last few pieces on it yesterday evening. First the hook that fires the brake chute. 135 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Then the front screen. 136 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And the canopy and it's support. 137 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And then it was done. 138 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr 141 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr And now it sits in my display cabinet. 139 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Besides it's younger brother. 140 by Bosse Persson, on Flickr Rather big boys. This was a fun build. Difficult sometime, but fun overall. I did some mistakes on it. But perhaps the next one will be easier. And speaking of the next one. If the Interceptor GB will go ahead, I'll enter with a Syrian MiG-25 PD. So until then. /Bosse
