Colin W
Great to see this finished. I don't know how you use Humbrol Decalfix. Every time I have tried it attacks my paint and spoils the surface. I always use Mr Colour lacquer over coated with Future and the Decalfix seems to cut through the Future and attack the paint. Colin 1

I pretty much stick to Humbrol and Revell acrylics, and I don’t give them a ton of time to dry. I am aware that I should not do any scrubbing until everything is dry, but that’s what works for me. I’m sorry and surprised that it doesn’t work for you - maybe it’s an acrylic vs lacquer thing? Regards, Adrian

Colin I tried out my Decalfix recently and it reacted with the Klear as well - I think it's because it contains ammonia. I tried it on plain paint, (enamel), and it worked perfectly.
AdrianMF
Maybe Decalfix and Klear don’t mix. I will do a little test on my paint mule... 1

No filler and OOB apart from some unnecessary footling with the nosewheel door. Recommended. Regards, Adrian
Johnson
Hi Adrian, I found this via your FROG OOB debate! Can’t find anything as cool for 1955! But I’ll be struggling to complete my Frog builds anyway. Love your X-15! I’ve got the MPM in my stash but not considered the Revell kit which looks very good, and with the Revell GB coming up... Cheers,
John_W
Nice build. I remember building this in a Monogram box many years ago.
Natter
I keep looking at your finished article in the Gallery coz it's a belter. Why do so many aircraft from the past look so futuristic even now? 1
