68-0511 - ALQ-119 on the forward left missile station.

 

Don't think I've ever seen anyone model a USAF F-4 with that sealant around the panels forward of the intake ramps. Will have to remember that...

Is it sealant or sticky tape, like the RAF do around canopies?

I assumed it was sealant. I honestly never looked at it very closely, could be tape. I just assumed since it began appearing in SEA that it was a putty-like sealant, but that would make getting to the Dzus fasteners a bother, wouldn't it?

 

In my scale, 1/72, it would hardly matter - just a careful masking and a spray.
