exdraken Posted August 10, 2019 Author Posted August 10, 2019 mask removal was a success another thing we dearly need: refueling probes for Mirage F1s! this is the FM one, afaik, the only (out of production, nearly unavailable) at all! the Italeri one is soooooo bad! (thin and LOOONG) quickboost?? RF flight? l'Arsenal? PLEASE! 4
exdraken Posted August 12, 2019 Author Posted August 12, 2019 I could not resist yesterday evening and put the teeth on be afraid! looks good generally, some small wrinkles still to sort out on the starboard side oh yeah! 7
Marlin Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 Great progress Werner. I really like the drop tank. /Bosse 1

Filler Posted August 19, 2019 Posted August 19, 2019 That's fine work and I'm feeling inspired. What a beautiful aircraft the F.1 is.
exdraken Posted August 20, 2019 Author Posted August 20, 2019 I need to hurry up! I just noted that my internal deadline is already this Friday.... late start - early finish some slight weathering, those machines were generally quite clean.... landing gear (front one metal FM, main gear is form the kit, with slightly shortened oleos in order to get a better, loaded stand.......) and wingtip launchers for the Matra Magic II missiles and with the all important, also slightly weathered, big 2200 liter Iraqi banana tank: cheers! 4
Biggles87 Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Nearly there. The teeth look great, like an evil grin. John 1
exdraken Posted August 21, 2019 Author Posted August 21, 2019 I still need to do the ejection seat .. and the Matra Magic2 missiles.... the kit ones are more suitable for the bin, for being considerably out of shape... Eduard brought some recently here you see my Magic production line (the Magic 1 are for the Mirage IIIO build currently sidelined.....) difference between Magic and Magic 22 for modelling purposes is the notch in the rear fins on the -2 and supposedly an opaque seeker head I am short of 4 mid fins (packing error? got superfluous other Rs... ....), Eduard promised replacements 1
exdraken Posted August 21, 2019 Author Posted August 21, 2019 plane itself f finished, seat and missiles still in the works, but nothing worth of showing .... here she is with all masking removed, some antenna still missing: 4
Parabat Posted August 21, 2019 Posted August 21, 2019 The F.1 is a great looking plane and you've done a great job here. Looking forward to seeing it 'done' soon.

And the proximity fuze ! 😉 A light gray ring in front of the yellow one, not present on Magic 1. Magic 1 Magic 2 (inert, but the proximity fuze is seeable here in front of the blue ring) 1

Alan P Posted September 7, 2019 Posted September 7, 2019 You weren't joking when you said you were trying a quick build! Very impressive result in such a short time, well done! Great subject and very well finished considering all the extras and improvements, excellent work Werner 👍 1
