Hello Everyone,

 

Started building the Italeri 1/24 Mercedes Benz Actros truck kit.  Below is the build log of the model (Warning... Too many pictures)

 

Packaging: - Brought it with Hobby Design Photoetch parts (through did not use all of it)

3. Exterior and Painting

 

After all the mistakes from the Bus build, this time i was careful and did spray paint properly and used TS 100 (Tamiya Semi Gloss Gun Metal), below is the dry fit of  front end with Chassis

Looks as though you're doing a nice job of that. I can empathise with you when it comes to those seatbelts though - after the hassle I had with them on the Skyline I'm not looking forward to the ones sitting ona stash job - but it looks like you got them licked into shape pretty easily.

 

And incidentally, I wouldn't call that "too many photographs" ;)

The truck body is almost finished, except few paint touch up on the Front grill land Rear. Post that Clear coat has to be added.

Nice truck, good result. You've certainly improved your skills, keep it up for the next one. Seems like your paint layers are still a bit thick in some places. Make sure to thin your paint with the appropriate thinners and spray or brush thin layers. No need to cover every surface in one layer, take your time and build the layers gradually. What will be your next build?

Thank you for the inputs JeroenS. I used the Tamiya TS100 as truck body color. Some places I did spray over thick. Have not planned yet for next build. But want to do a diorama for my 1/18 model collection.
