JD tiger 1
Hi all I have returned to the hobby after a good 2 years absence i have an issue with my airbrush, just painting I find I need to thin my Tamiya paints even more that what I used to. I need to do 70% thinner to 30% paint, it used to be 50/50, also I start to get spitting as thought the mix has become thick after a couple minutes, I do clean the tip regularly and after each use I disassemble and clean properly so Im just not sure whats up. Any help would be great. Thanks Joe
Gorby
After about a year of use, my Neo started to spit and I couldn't work out why. When I examined the airbrush very closely I found that there was a tiny split in the nozzle. At the time I couldn't find a reasonably priced replacement so I ended up buying a new airbrush. The price of replacement parts put me off buying another Iwata airbrush. I'm not saying that this is the cause, just a possibility – check the nozzle carefully.
bmwh548
Maybe the nozzle has some dried up paint inside or maybe the air path is obstructed by some dried paint. I'd take it apart, give it a damn good clean and try again.
