Graham T
Building the Tanmodel RF-84 & looking for confirmation of the colour in the airbrake & wheel well interiors. An internet search shows nose gear bays in both ZC & interior green & interior green in the main gear bays so presumably they're a bit of a "moveable feast" but nothing regarding the airbrakes. Any guidance?
72modeler
Graham, Off the top of my pointed little head, I would guess that like its older brother, the F-84E/G, the wheel bays, interior surfaces of landing gear fairing doors, and the speedbrake wells would be the yellowish zinc chromate primer, but after overhaul/repaints/later service, they could they could have been repainted with chromate/interior green, FS34151. It might also be that the interior of the speed brake and landing gear fairing doors were unpainted or finished in aluminum paint. See the link below for the exterior/interior colors/markings T.O. for the F-84F. Hope this helps!
