1/700 IJN Shimakaze on a seascape

Recommended Posts

I have finished with the seascape for my IJN Shimakaze.

The base was made with blue insulation foam, which I cut the wave pattern with a knife. It was then coated with Vallejo white stone past. I sculpted bow wave with magic sculpt.
Base colors were vallejo acrylic, on top of which were  coated with acrylic gel medium. Finally white foam was added with white oil paint.

That is beautiful!

I love the purposeful, rakish look of Japanese destroyers. And don't they look good when they get wound up with their sterns lucked down and bone in their teeth.

Great job,

Matt

Hello Nanond,

Master Modeler. To my knowledge, everything is finished to perfection. As mentioned above, the wake line is in line with the sleek lines of the destroyer.

Your photographic skills have also to be mentioned. It was a pleasure to look at your contribution.

I am going to loop up some more information regarding this class of ships. Regards, Orion.
