Ernie
This is the 1/350 AFV Club kit, which itself is I believe the old DML kit of the Type XXI U-Boat. Regardless, it is a decent kit that goes together well. The model represents the USS U-2513 as she appeared when first arrived at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard in July 1945. The U-2513 served in the U.S. Navy until the late 1950's when she was sunk off the Florida Keys.

Roger Torgeson
Thanks for posting your build. After reading and looking at the photos I remembered that I have the old (1995) release of the DML kit on my Shelf of Doom that is about 75% finished. Come September while at the US National Archives I'll be looking for photographs of U-2513 to scan and use as reference material for .finishing my build
Ratch
Subs don't exactly float my boat, but I have to say that's very well done
Roger Torgeson
Ernie , Since my last post on your U-2513 I have sent off a request to the US National Archives and received a reply with photograph numbers for 4 photos plus a lead to additional images which I hope to follow up on when I make my fall visit to the Archives later this month. When I'm asked how do I pick a ship model to build my usual reply is " it's something I am reading or a interesting photo I have seen". In the case of the U-2513 it's because of your build. Roger Thank you Sir, that is such an amazing complement! I am very humbled, and glad that you are finishing your build. I am also pleased that you have been able to get leads on archival photos to assist with your builds. Thank you again so much and I look forward to seeing your build!
