Looking forward to this one!  Modelsvit's products may not be the cheapest but (1) they produce modern kits of types other manufacturers often don't and (2) their kits are really high quality, complete packages.

Everyone is entitled to their own particular price-point of course.  All I can say is I've purchased a few of their kits now (Su-7B, Su-17, MiG-21F) and have been hugely impressed with what you get for the price.

Put it in a Hasegawa box and suddenly it's 'competitively priced' .
Anyways, looking forward to see how this one turns out.

Right..... I'll put 5€ monthly aside so that when it comes out I won't have to worry ! 😊

When you compare the last AF Buccaneer with the Su-17M3 or Su-22UM3 you can really see the huge gap in technology and know-how that exists between these Ukrainians makers and , let say, traditional western producers. When I see from where they  come from , and the results they have achieved in such a short time, it's just mind boggling , and a big big lesson.

Some spend their time and money ( our money) "communicating", while others just work...but in what a brilliant way !

Update on Mirage 2000's (1/72) project:
Following your recommendations, we have added pylons with MICA IR and MICA EM missiles in addition to already ammounced armament ( pair of Matra Super 530 and Matra R550 Magic missiles).

Hi there

Well if you already done the missiles can you also consider to do the 4 fuselage pylons (careful 2 types: one for bombs and one for MICA missiles) then you had the Mirage 2000-5 optimized for Air defense then Taiwan, Qatar, UAE, Greece, India, Egypt, Peru aaaa and France

Best modeling

That really looks like it's going to be a very impressive model. I generally build 1/48 and 1/32 but I just might spring for this one.

I don't see any obvious signs of a missing sprue, which suggests the puzzling decision to include 2x Magic and 4x MICA, but no Super 530D missiles at all?  I would've rather had those than the MICAs (which they could've kept separate for a 2000-5 release).  As the 530D is only carried by the M2K, the only aftermarket sources I know of are resin ($$$ and somewhat rare) or the vintage Heller/Airfix weapons set (increasingly in need of a re-release).

No sprue with air intake, engine (!), fin and the lower part of the wing....in fact no 1/3 - 1/4 kit sprue!

But I didn't see antenn's on radome for RDY  (2000-5 and higer) version , probably they will be maked photoetched?

Hard to say for sure, there are clearly some pieces missing but many of those may be resin (intakes, ejection seat, etc). At the very least it would be a *very* strange parts breakdown if there are Super 530s are injection molded and included with what isn't shown.

About radome or totally? If totally, then I agree.

If radome, have three  way:

- maked radome without antenna, but maked antenna in photoetched for late version;

- maked radome with antenna imitation as panel line, but for early versions need  sanding

antenna;

But we don't see this way.

- maked two different radom e with antenna and without antenna;

And this way we don't see, because fuselage with radome.

Of course have exotic way as combination mould or everything is done, but all that remains is to make the antennas....

But perhaps in the photo we simply cannot see the antennas made on the radar?

And get a model for the price of a Ferrari or a Rolls-Royce Phantom in scale 1/1? 😁

Also, I don't remember the resin details in the Modelsvit kits.  Also, do not forget that ejection seat and engine for Mirage 2000  are actually already made in Modelsvit Mirage 4000, so why would they do these parts in resin?

Think I may get three to go with my three Mirage 4000's, hopefully someone will do a multi-buy deal like Bassin Maquette did with the 4000.

So, my only misgiving about this kit (besides the possibility of it being a rivet-fest), is price. Modelsvit is not exactly known for its competitive prices and if this kit is going to cost £30 or more, it's going to put off a lot of modelers...

The Mirage IIIs are going for a little over $20 plus shipping from ModelsUA, but you will have to add 20% VAT to that, if they will even ship to the UK

https://modelsua.com/?target=search&mode=search&substring=Mirage&including=all&brandId=9&filter_category=492

You don’t get much for £30 these days.
