perdu
No it wasn't having a beer CC, c'est de rigeur during later stages of an evening I am disappointed that no-one seems to have taken a look at the photographs that Andy posted to set me off on this course ZA714 has no cover over the prominent boxes of stuff adorning her tail pylon I suspect these are heat exchangers for all the stuff inside the pylon that gets, or might get hot Also Andy note and remember she has no AN/ALQ thingmies aboard either But as it's you OK that is it, I am outa here
TonkaGuy
Looks great, task remaining FOD blanks and Blade droop?
perdu
Much as I did consider them I decided against FOD blanks when I decided to have the front antennae unblanked so I could tackle the fine wire triple aerials on each spikey bit, kinda seems daft to blank the rest of the airframe The rotor droop has been on my mind but after having to sacrifice the rotors off two different kits to get to this point another decision made to funk the droop was on the cards some of the blades do have the flapped twist to them but I feared overdoing it Anyone feels like drooping them for me can collect at Halifax on Sunday I think I have gone as far as I can now And there is a Bilvedere to occupy my mind

andyf117
Ah, actually, Bill - the thing on the rear pylon is part of the DAS, and always appeared 'paired' with the sponson-mounted ones... ....and as you've got them 'covered' on the sponsons, you had them right first time on the tail... ....so in the above pic (originally from page 2). both 'uncovered': From page 3, on BL, 'covered': Whilst the training airframes, such as 240 OCU's FI, generally didn't carry them at all: Nice-looking AN/ALQs... 😉 Edited February 14, 2020 by andyf117
