Web99
Wasn’t Hasegawa supposed to release a 1/72nd scale Raptor a few years ago? I heard it was a thing around 2013/14 but haven’t heard about it since. Be nice to see one especially with what they did with the F-35 and the panels which doesn’t look like bolt on tank armour unlike every other offering. VMA131Marine
Hasegawa had several issues of a 1/72 F-22 Raptor in different markings, but they were all reboxes of the 2008 Revell kit. They never did their own tooling in that scale. Your realistic choices in 1/72 are Revell and Academy, although the 2010 Fujimi kit is quite nice if you can find one.
Web99
I heard they were working on a new tool of it though, but my guess because of the backlash from the panels on their 48th scale one they might of put it on hold or something. I was looking for a Fujimi Raptor but they seem impossible to find and the Revell and Academy ones have ridiculous shipping on them whenever I’ve found one sadly. Denford
Hasegawa seem to restrict their current aircraft choices to those that are serving / have served with the Japanese Armed Forces. Recent examples include Osprey and Emily. At one time Japan sought to acquire the F-22 and it may be that Hasegawa 'jumped the gun' in announcing a new tooling for it. When Congress blocked the deal, the idea would have been quietly dropped.

Hasegawa has boxed the Revell F-22 in JASDF ocean scheme, the two tone blues like the Mitsubshi F.2 I was keen until the cheaper ones I had my eye on sold out & I picked up a Revell boxing for much less which I'll be happy to do as a service aircraft rather than a whif. Web99
That’s a shame because everyone who has made a raptor kit seems to have stopped producing them oddly even though the plane seems quite popular.
Aardvark
Any sane drawings (or photo comparison) on the F-22 appeared since the release of Revell ?? If not, how can we talk about which model is better? B.R. Serge P.S. I have Revell...but I don't like something in Revell... I don't know why....
