Courageous
On first pass, I thought that figure looks a bit 'flat', then read the thread title . Now I nothing about this side of modelling but to this layman's eyes, he looks rather cool and has been painted to give a good 3D effect. Roger Newsome
Thanks Stuart. I've also resurrected some unfinished 30mm figs too so there maybe more appearing in the wip figure forum. Roger.
Schwarz-Brot
Wow, flat miniatures are a rare sight! Brilliant painting. Did you use only oils or did you paint them over acrylic basecoats as it's done around here?

Yes, a rare sight but I might have some more coming soon. 😉 It's oils over an acrylic base. Roger.
Schwarz-Brot
I bought a flat miniature at a show once, to give it a try. I'm shure I still have it somewhere. Never saw any paint. Now I'm thinking again of doing it, more than a decade later

I'm interested to hear what it is. 🙂
Schwarz-Brot
To be honest, I don't even know. I'd think something on the fantasy-side of things, maybe steampunk. In my memories I'd put it around 54mm scale, but no guarantees.. I'll post something when I pull the miniature out.

Lol, I know what you mean. I was looking at my unoainted flat collection and several times I thought to myself I forgot I had that.
