That's a very nice weapons set Werner with some nice specific to the JASDF and F-1 anti-ship missiles which would make a great addition to your excellent model.

any idea what color a live ASM-1 / Type 80 anti ship missile would be in?

Hasegawa suggests some green (fs34102).... I can only find light grey/ white one on the net.... could all be training missiles though!

Having had a look on the net and in my references Werner from what I can tell they seem to be either white (still not sire if they are live rounds) or light grey with dark grey tips as in this link;

This is the page it is from;

Andy (Rad Dot) might not be able to answer your question as he is actually travelling to Japan, on an aviation tour.

Never seen a photo of an F-1 carrying live ASM-1s, but found this could be helpful.

Nice job on the decals Werner, love the Samurai head unit marking.

I believe the "RL" in RL-4 does indeed stand for Rocket Launcher, and the RL-4 is an indigenous design and I'm not sure if it has been produced in kit form yet.

seems that the Fujimi kit has them..... ;)

Just checked both 1/48 & 1/72 Hasegawa JASDF Sets neither carry one. It seens to be an indigenous made pod using the Hydra 70 2.75” Folding fin aerial rocket. I checked around but thats all i could dig up on it.

@Red Dot: what Sidewinder model would you expect in the late 80ies? Aim-9Ls? standard grey I'd assume!

I would go with 9L's myself Werner and in their standard colours.

Have you come across this walkaround before Werner?

https://ninetalis.com/walkarounds/aircraft/mitsubishi-f1-jasdf/

A bit late for the interior but some nice shots of the undercarriage and the outside.
