Looking to do a either a Netherlands campaign or Crete machine using the Special hobby 48th kit. Does anyone have any details around C&M. In Crete they seemed to have light upper wings but solid dare uppers. In Holland they seemed to be an overall pale colour. Anything new emerged?

Cheers

Sean

Holland? You mean the assault on Eben Emael? That's in Belgium ;-) (although it's less than a kilometer from the Dutch border).

They have a DFS fuselage on display at the fortress museum, but the colours don't coincide with the wartime post-landing shots of the gliders, which indeed seem to be a pale colour overall (RLM 02? RLM 63?) and are devoid of any markings.

Hmm, the artwork side profile in the first link seems to be the same as the first plane of the RS box (LC+1-8) and was apparently used in Italy if we are to believe the RS caption. Wing camouflage looks way different from the other artwork though.

And on the photo in the second link I cannot distinguish a clear camo pattern on the gliders..
