Troffa
I saw one of these Flight Systems F-86 whilst at Decimomannu Air Base, Sardinia in the late '80's it had the lighter blue cheat line like the T-33 in your shots. Great looking scheme.

Great looking scheme. As did I. N86FS was in Deci in 88/89 in the white scheme as opposed to the Silver Scheme above. Great photo's as usual Viper.
Sabrejet
The Deci Sabres weren't FSI but operated by a group called Corporate Jet. They were ex-SAAF birds. Lovely shots @Old Viper Tester!!! Most of those FSI target tugs were ex-Haydon-Baillie collection and had been stored for a while at Wroughton in the UK. It had been hoped that we'd have seen at least one on the UK airshow circuit. Sadly not but most of them are still around, with one now flying in France, so maybe one day we'll get there!

There was definitely an F-86 in Deci, and I was certain it was N86FS. Certainly remember it was painted like the above jets and frankly the reg was memorable enough. Troffa obviously remembers similar. You got any reg's of the F-86's that were in Deci ?
Sabrejet
N30CJ & N50CJ. N86FS was a pure test a/c at this time.

Sabrejet
FYI: N30CJ was a Sabre 6 (23504) which had previously flown in the USA with Corwin Denney as N86CD. It was sold to Corporate Jet of Scottsdale AZ in December 1987 and re-registered as N30CJ in April 1988 for use in Sardinia Italy as a NATO target tug. It returned to the USA in 1992 and was sold to Jimmy Rossi of Ocala, FL. Painted as '23711' in 51st FIW colours it flew airshows marked as 'Crap Shooter'. It was writted off at San Isidro, Dominican Republic on 4 November 2002 - Rossi was killed in the crash. N50CJ was the ex-SAAF bird (381) and was sold to Corporate Jet also in December 1987 for the NATO contract. It was registered as N50CJ (circa 10 November 1987) and shipped by sea to Sardinia in May 1988, still in SAAF colours. It was repainted in the blue/white Corporate Jet scheme at Deci and used on target towing duties for NATO until also returned to the USA in 1992. It was sold to Ricky Melton of Luttrell TN and is based/displayed at Tennessee Museum of Aviation in Gatlinburg. Both were due to be overwintered at Bournemouth in the 1992 with Jet Heritage but despite my best efforts at the time it didn't happen. 72modeler
Here's a couple of photos of N50CJ at the TN Museum of Aviation. When I was at the museum the last time, the LH slat was off, too. She looked to be airworthy but not flown. Next time I go visit my sister, I will take more photos.
