hugogo
hello 1:144 fans! for IPMS the Netherlands I have built a test shot of their incredible AN-225, the largest aircraft in the world. And also the largest aircraft I ever built. Complete build report can be found in MIP #3 of IPMS the Netherlands. Enjoy and have a relaxiing vacation.

JWM
Very nice! Regarding the biggest, what criteria? the wingspans are bigger in case of Spruce Goose and Stratolaunch 351...But the length and maximum mass still points to Mrija as winnner. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scaled_Composites_Stratolaunch Cheers J-W
Skodadriver
Very impressive both in size and modelling quality. I can hear my mother's voice about 50 years ago saying "But where are you going to put it?"

stevehnz
I will resist. My An-22 & 777-300 kits are big enough in 1/144, any bigger I'd be heading for 1/200. I can resist. Steve.

Dennis thanks for your comments all! Well Dennis, it was big enough to cause me headaches during the painting process. It filled up my painting booth completely with its 60 cm wing spaan: now it is standing on top of a clothing cabinet on the attic. Might hang it to the ceiling one of these days.
stevehnz
Home from work now & had a chance to have a better look at this on my PC, like wow, really impressed, at your beautiful model @hugogo & the look of the whole thing & only 12 cms bigger span than my 777-300 kit, hmmmmm, I'm still resisiting though mind. Jackson Duvalier
I applaud your fortitude. The wheels alone would occupy my next ten weeks.

NorbertBu
What an impressive giant! Lots of engines, cans of White paint and wheels...lots of wheels to be painted. I built the An-124 once, I know what that means. Great Build!
Avgas
All those wheels are the stuff of nightmares 😬 Looks impressive, lovely job!
Albeback52
Well, I don't like white finishes so, mine will be painted as a military transport! Thought about posing it with a 1/144 AT-AT! 😂 Edited July 17, 2019 by Albeback52
Rich G
Impressive work, it looks spectacular. I've seen one of these at Telford last year and it certainly takes up some shelf space! Rich

Gimme Shelter
OMG - I've had to put on my wide angle lensed glasses - what a whopper, and very nice build, just as Revell intended it to be built for sure.

Hobo
Beautiful build. The gloss finish is excellent. Quite a giant - makes the A400 look small!
macman6107
Great build. I'd love to add this to my large 1:144 collection. Would partner up nicely with the AN124
