Hi Steve,

can you add my name with a 1/72 Monogram Boeing F4B-4?

It is a 1968 kit, although my boxing is a 1973 rebox. Does this qualify?

Cheers

Hi again,

just found a photo to illustrate the kit I have in mind for the GB.

OIP

The rigging is likely to prove interesting.

I even acquired a Yellow-Wings decal sheet for this kit, as the original decals are best forgotten.

Looking forward to this GB.

JR

Hello Steve, add me to this list... T-6 Texan

Cheers,
Derek

PS: Living in Australia now, but my daughter studied in Durham, so we loved visiting at the start and end of term (when we lived in Antwerp). Hoping to get back to Durham some time!

Hi @stevej60.  I just wanted to ask whether there is any possibility of expanding the scope of the GB to include all classic US kit manufacturers?  I have in mind Aurora, Lindberg and Pyro (I have an Aurora Triumph Spitfire kit that I'm desparate to build ).

No problem if not, and either way I wouldn't want to see the GB's name changed!

Cheers

No issue from me Cliff could just as well be a classic US kit GB!

Would the 1/72 F-105 Thunderchief kit from 1958 be classic enough?  ;)

I confess I've grown to hate most of the so called Classic Kits. Not my cup of tea. Just opened the plastic bag of a kit originating in 1962, fondled the parts and took a good look at them, sighed and tucked the box furthest back in the stash... probably never daring to start building it :weep:. But it was not a Monogram kit, so I'm looking forward to this one

Look what I just brought home with me :yahoo:

This is what 1,5*1,5*1,5 scale ratio (72:48) means in plastics!

I will be in deep sh... shh no, I meant to say trouble, in trying to find space for it if it gets finished! Small wonder then that most of these are probably sold and built in Texas, Montana and Midwest Prairie states, while here in Europe 1:72 is The Scale

Probably scare you to hear that Ive built three of the Monogram (G), and one Revell (F) in 1/48 over the years. Three B-24D’s as well. Sadly none have survived to these times. I did all of them in the 80’s and 90’s.
