He was building a own house, sat down to smoke on the balcony and fell from the unfenced balcony of the second floor. Unfortunately, he fell head on concrete. He was a doctor, good doctor. He was taken to the same hospital where he worked, but the injury was such that his colleagues could not do anything. .... it's fate, but that doesn’t mean you don't have to be careful....and best don't smoke! ...he was born in 1973.... 1 hour ago, Dansk said: But thank you again, I never knew about tungsten as an alternative so i will delve into local sources (particularly for that next mig-21 build). A trip to the local fishing gear store looks like it’s on the agenda. Much better than the nut and bolt 🔩 As examples: https://ergarda.com/en/refractory-metals-and-alloys/tungsten/tungsten-balls.html Used also in ammo for hunting. One problem, say it's expensive ... but we have to pay for the environment. B.R. Serge 1

Dansk
Good evening all It’s starting to look like an aircraft now. I’ve had a few amateurish moments, (the tail planes i should have left off until the end: they were an accident waiting to happen, and that accident did happen🤪 So i’ll have to put them on again with steel rod or something later down the line.) And a few other silly things from lack of experience including a gluey fingerprint on one engine cover🙄😬 But after all the beautiful fits this kit had, the nacelles and rear engine covers have been an absolute nightmare - miles out of alignment, i’ve been cutting trimming and fettling forever with them and they dont want to play. So a lot of filling and sanding is coming up with those guys. Edited August 8, 2019 by Dansk
modelling minion
She really is starting to look a lot like a Fulcrum now Paul. It's funny how some kits can have great fit in some areas but then terrible fit in others, you would imagine the same level of fit on all the components in a kit would be the same. Yeah craig, beautiful fit everywhere but a putty monster at the back (and the nacelles in general) fronts need sorting too. DaveJL
Great work Paul, I've built 2 of the GWH Migs and found, like you, that the rear intake trunking was a nightmare to fit. I found the easiest way to get these parts to fit was to leave off most of the engine trucking (leaving just the exhaust portions) and removing all the locating tabs on the trunks themselves. Still not perfect, but a lot better than it would have been. Dave

modelling minion
Much later than promised Paul (sorry about that) but here are a couple of pics of the tail turret position on my B-24 which should hopefully give you some idea of how the tarpaulin can look, not that mine is brilliant. Hope they are of some use to you.
