Coventrycat
I couldn't do anything with the Packard tonight, so I had a bit of fun with the Mercedes and cleaned it up a bit. I followed Codger's advice on cleaning and what you see so far is just a wipe down - no polish. I deliberately left the windscreen as found so you could get a sense of the grime and nicotine that was laying on this for who knows how long. Because the seat brackets are broken, it was easy to take the seats out and wipe them down. There's still loads of dust in the interior, but I do intend to take the body off and give everything a proper cleaning and polish - I just needed to make some progress with it and I'm really pleased at how well it responded. I was surprised to see a rimless wheel underneath the top spare, though. Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled Untitled 2
Coventrycat
No work on the Merc tonight, but enjoying a book about one of them. It’s an entertaining read. My memory may be a bit rusty, but I’m fairly certain I saw this car at a traveling carnival in the late 60’s
