FPDPenguin
I got some plasticard for the first time and decided to give it a try. Seen plenty of videos online with walker type stuff? So I'm going to give that ago today? Woke up unusually early so I've been at it since this morning. Got this far so far. Amazed at how quickly it all comes together. 3
FPDPenguin
Primer on the body. Just have to figure out how to get some legs on it. This has been really fun this afternoon. I'll try get some paint on it in a bit. Got to do some housework type stuff for a bit.
FPDPenguin
Got the chance to air brush it quickly. I put a layer of silver down first, sealed it, then some green with a bit of yellow added. Chipped the paint back to the silver, sealed again. Will put some orange and browns on in a bit and some rust and oil stains.
FPDPenguin
Well I added some lighter green, the didn't like it, then messed around some more and ended up with this. Need to hand paint some extra details. And make some legs. But that's enough for today. I could get used to this plasticard stuff. I've had loads of fun today.

Pete in Lincs
Here are a couple of builds where I scratched the legs. https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235040486-another-walker/&do=findComment&comment=3079386 https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234999939-mak-walker-swamp-donkeysumpfesel/&do=findComment&comment=2310828 https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235040487-another-walker-finished/&do=findComment&comment=3079394 https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234963453-mak-overload/&do=findComment&comment=1673154 The basic idea is lollipop stick shaped plasticard with a balsa core. The hard bit is figuring out what to use for the feet. I like your build so far. Keep it coming. Pete
FPDPenguin
Cool. Thanks very much for the tips and inspiration. I've got some fw190 spare bombs and fuel tanks that will do nicely for the leg armour too.
FPDPenguin
Having a look through some decals What's that I see in amongst them???? Surely not? From an old lightning kit? Had to do it... Right now off to see if I've got any balsa wood in the shed, as per petes advice 2
Pete in Lincs
Don't forget,(like I did a couple of times) the upper leg should be thicker than the lower leg, so that it slips over it at the joint. I ended up with four leg sections of equal thickness. Doh! Like the BM decals! Pete
