Hmmm... I saw one of these in the MOTAT museum Auckland NZ. Though it had a shorter looking cockpit. A beast of an aeroplane I thought.   Could be tempted.

Annoyingly I can't find any photos of that example that I've taken, but they do seem to have had a variety of canopies.

Wonderful news. When I saw this thread title I was gobsmacked. No more must we bash Harvards or Wirraways into Ceres shapes and settle for same!

As there is more too the Ceres story and there is a great book called Ceres, australia’s heavyweight cropduster by Derek Buckmaster.

This book has ton’s of info and drawings of this strangelooking Wirraway offspring but was in fact an almost totally new aircraft with a widened centrewing piece and with a higher located aft fuselage as well..

This book is a eyeopener into the design and a must read to everybody interested in building one!

Good news! And, as k5054nz has said, no more need to butcher Wirraway kits to make one!

The Ceres was built with, or later modified to have, a variety of canopies. As usual, you need a photo to confirm which one was fitted to the one you're modelling. And another vote for the Buckmaster book - an invaluable reference. It was published in 2017 by Derek's own company. More details at www.dbdesignbureau.net/ceres .

LiftHere! are in consultation with Derek and have the book. It really is a very comprehensive book covering not only the Ceres but the history of agricultural aircraft.

Red Roo have done some co-operation with LiftHere! but all we did with the Ceres was suggest it. With the book, no more is required!
