rossm
Further to my post on Army Co-operation aircraft I have found photos of 16 Sqdn Audaxes in 1935 in Flight https://www.flightglobal.com/pdfarchive/view/1935/1935 - 0120.html My guess is the vertical stripes in front of the roundel are black but does anyone know for sure please? Junchan
The Profile publications Number 140, The Hawker Audax and Hardy shows a color side view of Audax K3698 of No. 16 Squadron marked with a black band. It is rational to assume the band was black as the squadron colors of No. 16 are gold and black.
