Sharknose
I can't get a replacement canopy for my Revell eurofighter, I bought a 2nd model, masked then filled the canopy with milliput, now have two moulds to vacuform clear plastic over. Now I need to find some plastic, some very old posts reckon plastic packaging from supermarket packaging. Any suggestion?
Uncle Uncool
Sharkey, mate. Best material you could get to vac-form canopies is PETG, the clear plastic manufacturers use to make the soda bottles. The material is sold in sheets at design or architectural stores. I once tried to use cut sheets coming from the soda bottles, to heat on my dental vacuum-forming machine, and it didn't go any well. After I got the sheets it went a lot better - it was trial and error, but the third attempt was the charm. Cheers bruh! Unc2
