Twobyfour
Morning all, I've been sorting through a box of spares and I found a tube of airbrush needles and nozzles. It's a bit of a daft question, but, how do I determine their sizes?
little-cars
Depends whose nozzles they are. Harder & Steenbeck now have markings on the needles and nozzles to show their size. Aztek are colour coded. Tiny screw in ones not sure if you can without knowing the manufacturer and what the sizes available. All you can do is put fine airbrush needle through a nozzle that looks large. Generally the more it sticks out the end of the nozzle the finer it is, so you can sort the needles into different sizes. Then try one of each of the batch of needles in each nozzle and note how far it protrudes out of the nozzles and sort the nozzles into different sizes. Then see which needle and nozzle combinations look right for the airbrush. Paul
Twobyfour
Cheers Paul. I guess it's trial and error. I'll give that a go. I'm wondering if the couple of needles with longer bevels are finer? Hmmmn.
