kapam
Amazing! Stunning! As a big TBM Avenger fan (even though my preferred scale is 1/72) I had to take a look. Glad I did. Your work is just superb! Well done!

basket
Just fantastic ! Your rendering is top notch . I saw this beast at the Intrepid museum last tuesday ... enormous for a single engined bird.
PattheCat
So this was the Navy's secret weapon, a torpedo so shiny that the Japanese were blinded! Beautiful model. I call it a real achievement. Edited July 6, 2019 by PattheCat
gryphon28
Thanks for the recent comments guys. It's really great to get feedback and see your on the right track. I currently working my way through Eduards series 2 Tempest and it's taking a bit of the mojo (beautiful, beautiful kit but very fiddly, some annoyingly fragile pieces and don't ask about the flap join line). Hopefully normal service will be returned shortly when I get to the painting stage.
Marek76
Beautiful! Very impressive Avenger. What exactly colors Gunze and Tamiya did you use (intermediate blue and dark sea blue) ?
gryphon28
Hi Marek, I used Mr Hobby H54 and H56 Navy and Intermediate Blues. If you are careful the semi gloss finish they leave can be decaled without a gloss coat. Just give it a light polish first with some tissue paper or similar. If in any doubt though, gloss it first. mustang1989
This is simply a beautiful airframe to start with and then you add the great job you did with representing it.
