Epic video atomic icebreaker "Yamal"

Recommended Posts

Hi!

Just epic video atomic icebreaker "Yamal".

On 1:24 & 2:24 great plot for diorama as for my.

Especially if the diorama at 2:24 electrify and place in a darkened box!

I don’t know if

atomic icebreaker

"Yamal" models are in scale, but the video is very cool!

The drone operator deserves an Oscar for that piece of work.

Really interesting film clip, I wonder if the crew ever get used to the constant noise, it would drive me nuts!

That video is awesome as it shows great detail for the ship modeller.  I tried to save it, as reference for later, but I couldn't get it to save. :(

Thanks for posting this.

Don't worry about crew this icebreaker! 😁

Many of the Britmodeller users do not have a home of that level of comfort that  has crew this icebreaker!🤗

Because as it is written about the conditions of the habitat of this icebreaker:

"It is equipped with satellite systems providing navigation, telephone, fax and internet for official use.  The ship has a large dining room, a library, a room for passengers, a volleyball court, a training room, a heated swimming pool, a sauna, and a hospital.  The ship has 155 cabins for the crew, each of which has a TV.  Bathrooms in the cabins are located only in cabins starting from the deck of the tank."

The crew’s inconvenience begins only when the icebreaker carries tourists to the North Pole of the land:

" For the transportation of tourists, the icebreaker is not intended, in order to provide tourists with comfortable conditions and separate cabins, the crew at the time of cruises settle on the two lower, residential decks of several people in the cabin (almost all the cabins on the icebreaker are single, with some exceptions (about 10 pieces))  Only the captain and the chief mechanic remain in their cabins."

Interesting fact:

"The stylized image of a shark mouth on the nose of an icebreaker appeared in 1994 as an element of design for a children's cruise, then left at the request of travel companies and eventually became  traditional."

It is more interesting and little known that according to rumors, in the event of a threat of war, all Soviet icebreakers have the ability to install artillery and anti-aircraft missile systems, thus turning into an auxiliary cruiser.  Such opportunities are laid at the design stage. Because icebreakers are very important for ensuring the wiring of not only civilian ships but and ships of the Northern Fleet of Russia, the northern sea route.

As examples you see as diesel icebreaker "Ilya Myromets" escort

nuclear submarine "Yury Dolgoryki":

But this video not so epic as video with atomic icebreaker "Yamal"! 🤗
