Created first F-14 model - used Flory Dark Dirt Wash have I done it correctly?

Recommended Posts

I have just completed my first F-14 1/48 model and applied Flory Dark Dirt Wash after finishing the decals and applying Future on top.

I am wondering it it looks ok, I left the Wash for 20mins and wiped off some of it but I am wondering if i have left too much still on , does it still correct or too dirty/grimy?

Thanks in advance for any replies.

Top surfaces look good but other areas IMHO would have looked better with less grime on. Thinking of the front fuselage sides and the wheel well doors in particular. I say this based on the way Tomcats of the era generally looked.

In any case if this is the first time you use this, you've IMHO achieved a very good result. Now on with the second Tomcat ! B)
