rkp111
Greetings to all, I just ordered the kit and included Mission model dark earth and Tamiya dark green for the camo. I was wondering if anyone has used this combination and had good results as far as the compatibility between the two of them. Also is there an alternative for Mission model thinner? Thanks for any help
Rolls-Royce
According to their FAQ (https://www.missionmodelsus.com/pages/tips-and-tricks-faq), the only other thinner they recommend besides their own is distilled water. Others here may have tried other thinners, but when I used their paint on my Zero last year, I used theirs.

Bstarr3
I've used mission models paint a lot. I've found it works best when using their system, both their thinner and their poly additive. I've never mixed it with another paint type, so I cant comment on how they'll work together, but they are quite different chemically, although both are acrylics. Can I ask why you got two different brands?
rkp111
I already had the Tamiya dark green, and I'm thinking the mmp dark earth is more authentic than what Tamiya has to offer, just going to have to do some experimenting to get it right. Thank you for your time and help
Chuck1945
If you use Tamiya paints and are willing to mix your own DE: 2 parts XF 52 flat earth 2 parts XF 49 khaki 1 part XF 3 yellow
