Westland Whirlwind (fighter)

Recommended Posts

Some pics of my 1/72 Whirlwind.  Its the original, poly bag, Bliek kit in rather hard and brittle plastic.  I gave it a cockpit using an Airwaves etch tub and instrument panel and scratch built everything else under the canopy,  some wingtip and landing lights from clear sprue and scribed panel lines ( need to improve my skills in that respect). Anyway thanks for looking. spacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.png

Congratulations to a very brave man!

Considering what you started with, you've done a great job, and your re-scribing skills are not bad at all.

Keep having fun.

Very nice model, and as JR said your re-scribing isn't bad at all--much better than mine!  I would enjoy seeing some more photographs, especially of the work you put into the cockpit.

Cheers,

Mark

That is a very nice model, and for sure, a type rarely seen done. 👏

I think they were very cool looking aircraft and would like one in my collection too.  Is there a good kit in 1/48?

Available in 1/48 from Trumpeter and Classic Airframes , CA kit is the most better model if you can find one .
