trickyrich
I really truly wasn’t planning to join this GB as my bench is overflowing with projects already. But during another clean up of the dungeon I came across these beasts huddling in a corner behind stuff that did need to be thrown out. There they sat looking at me with those cold black heartless eyes begging for mercy or my submission I couldn’t really tell. Gosh I haven’t seen scaring/raised panel lines like that for years…..and hopefully never again either. I won’t even mention the huge blood stained studs on them, they truly scare me!!! Even the poor old camera refused to take photo's of the abominations, I'll get it blessed and try and take some photos later....via a mirror! The P-38 and Bf-109 come in those old Frog boxes that sort of unfold into a handy tray or base for a summoning!!! I haven’t seen “flogging” stands like those for years…..I didn’t get the flash adjustable flogging stand like @JOCKNEY Pat gets! These if the old gods will let me these will be a straight OOB builds, no AM of modifications at all….gee I must be possessed! I’ll try to use the kit decals but I’m not too sure how flayed skin will hold together after all these year. Not too sure how long this possession/build will take, just gotta remember to bath in holy water each night…..or have a glass of Rum! 10
Rabbit Leader
Great to see yourself and these three 'gems' on here Rich. Although you seem to think that your in for an almight torture test, my money is that you'll enjoy yourself that much you'll contemplate building another! We will look forward to seeing your progress with these three classic kits. Cheers and welcome aboard.. Dave

PeterB
Rich, Should be plenty of replacement P38 decals around as they were included in the "assorted packs" of 40 Frog sold over here - assuming they got to your part of the world. Pete
JOCKNEY
Oy Rich Enough already, I have put myself through torture building one of your beloved resin kits (Magna Hawker Henley) and you have the cheek to complain about a Frog kit ! Stop hiding in some lessor GB and get these 3 built please 😁 Cheers Pat

trickyrich
I haven't forgotten about these, I have already done some work on them. Once the Specialists GB is out of the way I can spend more time on these. At the moment I'm trying to fight off the flu so not much is happening on the model front. TonyW
Three fine looking kits. All FROG as well, so the transfers should be fine. Looking forward to seeing them built. Tony.

How on earth have you managed to catch the flu. Air conditioner set too high ? Seriously mate get well soon, I suppose you could have one of these on your tray in bed while Mrs Trickyrich, spoons feeds you chicken soup and mops your fevered brow 1
Greg Law
Take it easy Rich. I hear that flue in Australia at the moment is a real nasty one. Made me rush out and get a flue shot when I heard about it.
trickyrich
haha thanks, nah it's a really bad one here this year, it's killed 250+ so far and doesn't seem to be slowing down. The wife had the flu shots 2 months ago and has been sick with a cold on and off since then, last week she got Bronchitis to top it off. So i've been looking after her..... that's prob where I got it from! And it must be a bad one for me as I'm too sick to even drink Rum!!
JOCKNEY
Sorry mate please pass on my best wishes to Mrs TrickyRich and tell her get well soon from all of us on here at BM. If being unwell isn't bad enough the thought of you looking after her must be absolutely terrifying. Is there a responsible adult we could call to look after her ? 1

The double benefit in that is that Rich can come up to Bris-Vegas again, recover in the warm winter sun and we could knuckle down and get more modelling in!! Cheers.. trickyrich
mmm I was just say the the wife I wish we could migrate up to Port Douglas for winter!! Am slowly on the mend though I rattle when I move about due to all the pills I'm taking....found the good ones in the bottom of the cupboard! Got the heater going full bore in the dungeon so should get some modelling done....maybe even on terrifying trio! 2
JOCKNEY
Hi mate How are you and Mrs @trickyrich doing ? When we last heard from you it was so cold apparently you were going to have to wear a shirt with sleeves as opposed to the Bruce Willis vest that is the norm down under ! Cheers Pat
trickyrich
Am alive and thank you for asking! I had actually been doing some work on them until a rather nasty looking black spider sauntered across my work bench! Yes I did squeal like a little girl and there was quite possibly some wee as well! I gave up after that and sort comfort from my sick wife, who when I related my scary encounter with the 8 legged freak nearly wet herself with laughter!! I reckon there was some evil at work that day!!! Once I get my Sturmtiger out of the way I'll get back to them. The Bf-109 is together and nearly ready for painting, P-38 is halfway together and I need to paint the Avenger insides before I can close it up. Really not a lot of work unless I'm attacked by some "Drop Bears" or a Yowie!! Would be just my luck!!

trickyrich
not quite unfortunately it was during pack up time at the end, so it was only a quick hello. But it was great to finally meet. @Romeo Alpha Yankee will have to come down to the next Canberra show and catch up properly.
JOCKNEY
Oy Rich Any chance of an update, I've managed to wrestle 2 week extension to the GB off @Enzo Matrix to allow some of the serial non-completers mentioning no names to finish their builds Cheers Pat
trickyrich
awww shucks..... I have pretty much dropped the ball on this lot (and my 80's frontline Asia build for that matter) as a new huge project/beast has taken over the work bench. These guys may now have to become a KUTA project for the end of the year. It probably doesn't help that I'm about to divest myself of all my 1/72nd stuff as I'm now starting to move on to 1/32nd beasts.
